PvPRO.com announce the €200,000 ESG Tour Mykonos 2017, taking place this September in Mykonos, Greece.
PvPRO.com have released information regarding a newly announced tournament branded the ESG Tour Mykonos 2017, a €200,000 event taking place on Thursday, September 7th - Sunday, September 10th in Mykonos, Greece at the Destiny Villa. Eight teams will fly out to the beautiful Mediterranean island to duke it out for the crown, as well as the lion's share of a fifth of a million Euros.
The €200,000 prize pool will be distributed amongst the eight participants as follows:
1st place - €100,000
2nd place - €40,000
3rd - 4th places - €20,000
5th - 8th places - €5,000
With a grand total of eight participants, seven teams have already received invites, meanwhile a single slot has been reserved for the victor of a closed qualifier, taking place on Thursday, August 17th - Friday, August 18th. Four teams (to be revealed in the future) will be invited to butt heads over the course of the two days, with the finalist securing a placement at the LAN finals.

Formatting and structure for the main event taking place in September will see the eight participants split into two groups of four. A GSL group stage will be seen (double-elimination, best-of-one followed by single-elimination, best-of-three elimination matches). Two teams that top their respective groups will immediately advance to the play-offs, whilst the six remaining teams duke it out in the decider matches. Once all four semi-finalists are decided, matches will take on a best-of-three, single-elimination setting, barring the grand final, which will sport a single-elimination, best-of-five format.
