Gambit Esports officially sign Abay "HObbitt" Khassenov

Gambit Esports have successfully bought out Abay "HObbitt" Khassenov from Tengri for $100,000, a record transfer fee in the CIS region.

Following a ten month stint on loan from Tengri, Abay "HObbitt" Khassenov has finally transferred to Gambit Esports. In the official announcement a $100,000 lump sum was quoted as the buyout price for the player, the highest amount ever paid for a transfer in the CIS region. The process was described as a "prompt resolution" by Gambit Esports, and has indeed been rumoured to being in the works for quite some time now. 

Ever since joining the Gambit Esports roster, Abay "HObbitt" Khassenov has proven to be a crucial asset to the team. With his help Gambit have secured two DreamHack titles, namely Winter 2016 and Austin 2017, as well as the most recent Major event in Krakow, one that could have possibly gone astray if not for the miracle 4K from the Kazakh prodigy on de_inferno, as well as many a performance throughout both the group stage and play-offs. 

Following the signing of Abay "HObbitt" Khassenov, Gambit Esports now officially sports the following roster:
