ZEN esports Invitational changes

The ZEN Esports Network Invitational, put on by ESL, has been relocated to the ESL studios in Sydney, Australia.

In 2016 it was announced that Australia’s best would compete with two unnamed, international guests, for a $20,000 Prize pool, taking place on January 14th and 15th. However, it has now been announced that the two guest teams were not able to be confirmed, causing the organizers to relocate, as the tournament would no longer fit the expectations for original venue The Palms.

Another change to the tournament format is that it will no longer take place over a two day period; instead, it will be played only on January 14th. The event will serve as a qualifier for the ZEN ESports Network League, taking place throughout 2017.

ESL has also noted that anyone who paid to attend the Invitational will be refunded for their tickets, and they may also inquire about reimbursement for travel expenses. For more information about reimbursement and refund, please contact: [email protected]

Tickets for the event may be purchased online for $22, which includes general admissions, with a paid lunch and drink. The tournament schedule is as follows:

Saturday, 14th of January:
    - 8:30am AEDT: Doors open to public

    - 7:00pm AEDT: Estimated end of day

Sunday, 15th of January:
