Team Dignitas part ways with CS: GO roster



Team Dignitas part ways with their CS:GO roster following a statement whereby the organisation expressed that it would like to build a team based in North America.

Team Dignitas have announced that they will be parting ways with their roster, composed of four Danes and a Norwegian. The announcement came shortly after the team successfully qualified for ELEAGUE Major via the Main Qualifier. The reason behind this decision is declared as the organisation's intention to build a team based in North America. On the players' side, they haven't made an announcement yet. 

Dignitas, led by Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen, have had a great year, winning the WESG EU & CIS Regional Finals, League of Sharks CS: GO Championship and EPICENTER: Moscow 2016. The team also managed to make it to the grand finals of Game Show Global Esports Cup 2016, and Power-LAN 2016. In addition, they've reached the semi-finals of several events.

Team Dignitas as an organisation was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers last September. The new roster that will be created under 76ers management will be based in North America but will consists of international players according to the announcement which indicates that the decision was made mutually.
