€10,000 will be on the line for the recently revealed fifth season of the King of Nordic CS:GO tournament.
The organizers behind the popular King of Nordic event have upped the ante for the fifth season, quadrupling the prize pool from previous editions to a very respectable €10,000. Season five will also be different in that Iceland now has their own slot in the tournament, as well as a partnership with Gamer.no to run the Norwegian qualifiers. King of Nordic will kick off next week on the 28th. Christer “MrMouse” Körnbäck, founder of King of Nordic, had the following to say about the announcement:

We have seen a lot of unknown players entering the elite scene after participating in King of Nordic. So this season we are focusing more on the up and coming players of the tournament and will bring more in depth player profile, statistics and interviews. I see that as our mission. Building new stars of tomorrow.”
