Virtus.Pro triumphed over the post-shuffle roster 16:11 on Cobblestone and 16:12 on Cache.
Virtus.Pro entered the matchup before the shuffle as the clear favorites, mainly due to their stellar recent form that saw them take the $390,000 grand prize at ELEAGUE Season 1. After the huge roster shuffle that is possibly the biggest shake-up ever in Swedish CS, the odds may have slightly shifted towards Godsent due to fragging power, but regardless, Virtus.Pro were always expected to win this match.
Virtus.Pro started the series on their map pick, Cobblestone, the map that Fnatic picked against them in the ELEAGUE final, and managed to win 16-11 after a decent showing from the brand new roster. Despite another decent performance, this time on CT side of Cache, due to the synergy of the new ex-Fnatic trio of Jesper "JW" Wecksell, Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson, and Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, the Poles managed to win the map 16-12 and the series 2-0 to qualify for EPL.
