NEA 2016 have announced the four finalists who will be battling for the $100,000 prize pool.?
The newly created NEA Beijing Electronic Sports Open has just announced that it has chosen the four finalists for its July 1-3 tournament. The four teams will be battling for the grand prize of $100,000, or 640,000 Chinese Yen, after going through an online qualification stage which took place from May 19 to June 23. The best of three tournament will take place in the Beijing National Stadium, locally known as the "Bird's Nest" for its nest-like appearance.
Whether this will lead to the Chinese CS:GO scene finally getting its place on the podium remains to be seen. Given TyLoo's 10th place in the world rankings, it is very likely that we will soon see a Chinese uprising in the professional CS:GO scene. The $100,000 will be distributed as follows: 1st place - $60,760; 2nd place - $18,228; 3rd place - $10,633; 4th place - $7,595.
The four teams announced to attend the event are:
TyLoo
Born Of Fire
VG.Cyberzen
B.O.O.T
