Luminosity Gaming has managed to to defeat the champions of Cluj-Napoca, EnVyUs, 2-1 in the elimination match of group B.

de_mirage was first up in the series, with Luminosity Gaming being first up on the CT-side. The Brazilians looked to be off to a good start initially as they managed to take the pistol round without losing a single player, but quickly were returned by a typical Team EnVyUs forcebuy. Instead of forcing themselves, LG decided to take two eco rounds and came back in their buy rounds to bring the score to 5:3. The Frenchmen get a lucky round off of just a Tec-9 forcebuy, but LG promptly take the round after and breaking their opponents economy, which let them take control and take the half 10:5. LG got the second pistol as well, this time avoiding the perilous forcebuy from EnVyUs in the next. With the score now at 13:5 for LG, EnVyUs managed to pick up their first round on their rifle buy, but once again they lost the economy control as Luminosity won the next round, gifting the map to LG 16:5.
LG continued their pistol round streak into de_cobblestone, picking up the first round of the map on their T-side with a dominating push onto the B site. However, LG was forced into an eco after just one round loss due to the amount of damage EnVyUs managed to put out in their own ecos, which eventually brought the score to 3:3. The rest of the half was hotly contested, with the French side narrowly managing to win the half 8:7. EnVyUs, now only a roll, went on to dominate on their own T side, allowing Luminosity only a few more rounds before shutting out the second map 16:8.
The final map in the series, de_inferno, proved to be much more competitive for both sides than the previous two. EnVyUs got off to a good start on the more favored CT-side, getting the first three rounds, but Luminosity tied up the match soon after, bringing the score up to 4:4. Th Brazilians didn't stop there though, racking up an additional three rounds before EnVyUs could put another on the board, which allowed to them to get an impressive 8:7 half. For the third time in the series, LG got the pistol, and the half was downhill for the boys in blue from there, with almost every single push by EnVyUs being stopped by the brick wall that was the Brazilian defense. EnVyUs managed to get back into the map after an impressive one versus three clutch by Kenny "kennyS" Schrub, but at that point the lead was too great and LG managed to win the map 16:11 and the series 2-1.
