Map 1 de_train was picked by NaVi, so NiP started as CT. NaVi secured 1st pistol round and managed to get an impressive 7 round streak. NiP were experimenting with non-standard AWP line-up with Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg and Richard "Xizt" Landström picking up the sniper rifle. On 10-3, NaVi quickly pushed B site and NiP were unable to retake, so the Swedes were forced to have only pistols during last round of the half. Deagle magic from Adam "friberg" Friberg didn't happen, so it was 12-3 first half in favor of NaVi. In second half, NiP opted for quick A bombsite rush but after series of intense 1v1 trades, the NaVi came out on top, even with a knife kill on f0rest. On the brink of matchpoint, NiP almost pulled off a buy-vs-buy round but Yegor "flamie" Vasiliev with a double kill in a 2v2 situation put a period to the hopes of NiP for a comeback. Hectic matchpoint and first map goes in favor of NaVi, 16-3.
Second map was de_dust2 picked by NiP. As T side, the Swedes set up A-long push but failed to occupy the bombsite due to gap in the CT spawn smoke, NaVi take 3rd pistol round of the series. After that was deja-vu - NiP were able to take their first round only after NaVi secured 7 for themselves. Dominant AWPing from Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovacs on top of NiP seeming completely lost. A slightly better first half for NiP this time, 11-4. A need of 'NiP magic' is becoming most frequent phrase used by commentators at this point. First step to a comeback is a won pistol round, first out of 4 in this series for NiP. However, after 1 successful anti-eco, NiP falls to a force buy of deagles and scout. NiP are now forced to use five-sevens with armors but fail to stop NaVi's push. On 15-5 matchpoint, it was decided in a 1v1 clutch where friberg won. However, the hopes were false, next round quickly goes to NaVi, 16-6 second map, 2-0 in a bo3.
