The second match of day 3 of DreamHack Cluj-Napoca featured a nerve-racking battle between Mousesports and G2 Esports.

A special treat given to us from DreamHack today. The decider match between Mousesports and G2 Esports has been the most intense match at this major event so far. Starting off on de_mirage, from the first round on it has been a fight on an even level for both teams. Rounds exchanged back and forth, no gifts given whatsoever. An insane performance from Bosnian Nikola "NiKo" Kovač elevated Mousesports to a potentially dominant position. With a score line of 15-11 in favor of Mousesports, they were one round away from securing the first map. However, G2 Esports fought they way back making it to overtime, where they beat Mousesports 19-16 eventually, leaving them rather upset. Apart from NiKo almost dropping a 40-bomb for his team, newly acquired Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad was one of the biggest impacts for his team, as well as Mikail "Maikelele" Bill and Ricardo "fox" Pacheco stepping it up heavily.
On de_inferno, the second map in this bo3, the round progression was nearly identical to the progression on de_mirage. G2 Esports winning the first three rounds, Mousesports coming back to 8-5 in their favor and finally G2 coming back to close it out at 8-7. In the second half Mousesports denied G2 Esports any more than 1 round, boosting them up to a 15-9 score line. Then, similiar to de_mirage where they stuck at 15-11, Mousesports struggled again to close out this map, however, allowing G2 Esports three more rounds Mousesports closed this one at 16-12.
The decider map in this match was de_cache. Despite this match being so close on the first and second map, G2 Esports were just outplaying Mousesports on cache. Leaving Mousesports behind at a 10-2 score line, the mighty mice decided to take a timeout to talk it through. However, in the end they couldn't catch up to G2 Esports, letting them close it out at 16-5. This obvious dominance of G2 Esports is also due to fox's incredible AWP play. Switching positions constantly made it impossible for Mousesports to tackle that.
The final result of 2-1 in favor of G2 gives them the entry ticket for the playoffs, leaving Mousesports a couple of vacation days in Romania.
