The fourteenth season of SLTV's StarSeries is first to feature the North American division, which has kicked off last night with the first matches.
The fourteenth season of StarSeries is the first one to feature the North American division, as well as many other changes. The North American teams will have a slightly adjusted format compared to their European comrades. The NA teams will have to go through the group stage and then playoffs stage in order to secure their spot at the LAN finals.
The group stage will be played in a round-robin format with a series of best-of-three matches. Sixteen teams are being divided into four groups, where the winners will directly advance to the upper bracket of playoffs, while the runner-ups will have to go through the lower bracket of the playoffs.
