ESL has announced the schedule for the upcoming major tournament in Cologne.
ESL has just announced the schedule for the upcoming ESL One held in Cologne, Germany. There will be 16 teams contending for the grand prize pool of $250,000. The tournament will be taking place from August 20-23, located in two venues: MMC studios and the Lanxess Arena.
On the 20th, all four groups will play out the upper bracket, with the group winners securing themselves a place in the quarterfinals. The 12 teams that did not manage to win will have their groups redrawn and will receive a second chance to get through to the quarterfinals in the lower bracket. All matches played up to this point will be best-of-one series and the quarterfinals up will be best-of-three series.
