Devilwalk leaves Fnatic
Jonatan "Devilwalk" Lundberg has revealed this week that he will be abandoning his coaching postion with Fnatic in order to rejoin the competitve scene as a player with another team. Lundberg's postion will be taken over by former Property coach Viktor ”vuggo” Jendeby, and Devilwalk is rumored to join the former Property lineup.
SK Gaming sign ex-CPH
SK Gaming made a return to Counter Strike this week with the signing of the former Copenhagen Wolves lineup, led by Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen. SK Gaming was one of the most successful organizations during the heyday of 1.6, and it will be interesting to see what they will be able to do in Global Offensive.
VAC ban for AREA
Famous for his uncanny knack for ScreaM-esqe headshots, French pro player Julien "AREA" Dubois has confirmed that the VAC ban on his Steam profile is in fact from CS:GO. The fomer-Imaginary player denies cheating however, although high-profile players in the French scene are skeptical of his innocence. Joey "fxy0" Schlosser last year noted that:
GeT_RiGhT to take over for Xizt
NiP have been struggling to find the best player setup for themselves in the last few monthes, and these changes continue as it has been revealed that GeT_RiGhT will be taking over for Xizt in ingame-leading. Although the team has been doing respectably recently, the organization hopes that a change in the calling style will help to restore the team to its former glory.
Valve releases Operation Bloodhound
The latest operation added to CS:GO brings a plethora of new skins, maps, and missions for players to explore in-game, as well as a new knife type. An update that was pushed alongside of the operation fixes numerous bug fixes and map changes to balance the game and introduces a new, XP based profile ranking system.
