After a very long day at Gamers Assembly, Titan proved their favorites' status at this tournament by qualifying for the grand finals where they will have to face the Team LDLC White squad.
After a very long day at Gamers Assembly the top four teams that came through to the semi finals were Titan, Gplay, Team LDLC White and beGenius. They were looking for a chance to win the grand prize of 10,000 USD and to claim the Gamers Assembly 2015 title.
The two invited teams, Titan and Gplay had to test their forces in the semi finals where the Bulgarian team had a better start by taking de_cache which was the first map of this best-of-three match. Gplay had a very strong T side which brought them 8-7 lead at the half time and a lot more space to work with in the second one where they were moving to the more favored CT side. In the end it was 16-12 and Titan had to look for their chance on de_dust2. In the second map we once again saw the same scenario where Gplay had a very good T side, taking 10 rounds and moving over to CT side full of confidence. However, Titan showed the wide array of their skills as soon as they switched over to T side. Taking 11 and giving only 1 round to Gplay for the final 16-11, Titan proved their status of the favorite team at this tournament. The third map was just routinely played as Titan had an excellent CT side, 14-1 and it was a really easy for them to close this one with 16-1.
In the other semi finals match, Team LDLC kicked off really well winning de_inferno with 16-4. They started on CT side scoring a lot of rounds, 12, which made it a lot hard for beGenius to come back in the second half. However, the second map had a different scenario as beGenius showed a lot better T side on de_dust2. Winning 9 rounds and moving to the CT side to close this map with 16-11, kept beGenius in this match. The third map was de_cache where LDLC once again had a very strong CT side where they scored 13 rounds. By being under the pressure of the score, beGenius couldn't manage to make a comeback and LDLC took the 16-7 win and grabbed a second spot in the grand finals.
