iBUYPOWER have announced that they will be sponsoring a $5,000 North American CS:GO invitational tournament.
Earlier today iBUYPOWER posted a cryptic Tweet stating the following:
1:00 pm pst #esports @iBUYPOWER
— iBUYPOWER CS:GO (@iBUYPOWERCSGO) February 12, 2015
This caused many people in the community to speculate about Team iBUYPOWER as an eSports organization, many thinking that they would be picking up a new CS:GO team after they parted ways with their last one due to a match fixing scandal.
It now appears that the Tweet was only a teaser for a $5,000 North Ameican CS:GO invitational tournament, featuring the following teams:

The tournament will begin on February 28th and will continue on until March 1st. Matches in the event will be played online in a BO3, single elimination format.
The prize pool distribution for the event will be different compared to other tournaments, with 1st place getting $4,000 and 2nd place only getting a mere $1,000 out of the $5,000 total prize money. There will be no money distributed to the teams below 2nd place.
