The third team to be invited to the Danish tournament has been announced as the country's own Copenhagen Wolves.
The process of announcing invited teams started at the beginning of February. Mousesports was the first to be invited, followed by the new Ukrainian team, Flipsid3 Tactics.
Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen and his teammates, who only recently joined Copenhagen Wolves, have joined the list. They will be aiming for a high finish on native soil in early April. The Wolves have already enjoyed early success under their new name, qualifying for the ESL Pro League LAN Finals last week. They will also be taking part in the ESL One Katowice offline qualifier on February 14th-15th.
The Copenhagen Games tournament will take place from April 1st-5th at the Øksnehallen exhibition centre in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The prize purse will feature a total of €26,000, with the winner earning €14,000. 13 more CS:GO teams are to be announced in the coming weeks. The 16 invited teams will join 16 qualifier teams from previous rounds in a GSL group stage at the main event.
