With more than 120 teams with a place in the open bracket, it all came down to teams eLevate and CLG to decide who will advance from North American soil to the Katowice offline qualifier.
In the semi finals we saw CLG take on Mythic, which was a very interesting match to watch. In the end CLG managed to win 16-9 and progress on to the finals. In the remaining semi final match we saw eLevate fight against Ayedog, a mix made of ex Torqued players. This match was much more heart-breaking as the final score was 16-14 in team eLevate's favor.
In the finals, eLevate took a lead of 1-0 in a best-of-three series, where they secured their first point by winning on de_nuke in overtime. However, CLG quickly replied with a convincing win on de_dust2 which was followed by another on de_cache. This resulted in a 1-2 scoreline, which concluded the final game of the qualifiers.
Counter Logic Gaming will join another fifteen teams in the offline qualifier which will provide the top eight teams to move on to the ESL One Katowice major tournament. The list of qualified teams for the offline qualifier can be found here.
