ESL have announced that they have invited Cloud9, Team Liquid, and Vox Eminor to the offline qualifiers for ESL One Katowice.
The qualifiers, which will take place between February 14-15, will feature a total of 16 teams battling it out for a spot at the upcoming $250,000 major in Poland, Katowice. Eight of the teams will be determined through online qualifiers, while the other eight teams will be determined via direct invite.
Invited on the North American side will be Cloud9 and Team Liquid, after the former iBUYPOWER lineup was banned from all Valve sponsored tournaments (including majors) following their recent match fixing scandal. Australian Vox Eminor, which participated in both of the previous ESL Majors (Katowice and Cologne) but not DreamHack Winter, has also been invited.
