Penta Sports has reign supreme on the top of group A after defeating HellRaisers and Virtus.pro.
The group A was considered a less interesting than the group B of ASUS ROG Winter. However, the teams proved it to be different, at least for now. The German team, Penta Sports, showed that a good result at DreamHack Winter wasn't just a fluke since they continued at the same way here in Finland.
How confident Germans were shows that in their opening match against HellRaisers after winning a knife round they went for a T side pick at de_inferno. Winning a pistol round and having a match in their control brought them a 7-8 score in favor of HellRaisers, which was enough for Penta to capitalize this in the second half for the final 16-13.
In the other match of the group A, Virtus.pro met an underdog team, VOLGARE. The map was de_cache where the Poles start at CT side and won it convincingly, 14-1. The Hungarian team couldn't cause any major upset as they switched to the CT side and the match was closed with 16-3 in Virtus.pro favor.
The winner's match featured Penta Sports and Virtus.pro fighting for the first spot in the playoffs. The map pick probably favored the Polish team more than the German one, since de_mirage was chosen. However, Penta showed once again that their T side is insanely strong, demolishing VP's defense and winning this half with the 8-7 score. The second half just brought the same level of performance for the German team as they snowballed through it to finish the match with 16-9 and to grab the first place in the group A.

The loser's match had HellRaisers and VOLGARE fighting for the survival in this tournament. HellRaisers' had to reset their batteries and have a fresh start here if they wanted to move on and try to make up for the early lose against Penta. On the other hand, VOLGARE was trying to cause the first upset of this tournament. The map was de_mirage, one of HellRaisers' favorite where they kicked off at the more favored CT side, winning it with the 10-5. The second half saw a balanced match where in the end HellRaisers came out on top by having a lead from the first half.
The last match of this group was a direct fight for the second place or elimination. Virtus.pro and HellRaisers met up at de_inferno where the Polish team had a satisfying score after the first half of 6-9 due to being on a less favored T side. However, HellRaisers' were more confident and they managed to break a wall of VP's defense and to clutch a 16-10 win and the second place of the group A.
