Ninjas in Pyjamas is the first team to go through the group stages of group A, next to follow is a match between Cloud9 and Team Dignitas.

The first deciding match of group A was played between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team KaBuM. The Brazilian team made a big upset yesterday beating Cloud9 convincingly in a 16-4 scoreline, so the Swedes didn't have an easy task coming into this match. During the map pick, KaBuM had to choose between de_nuke and de_inferno, in which they chose de_inferno.
The match was overall one sided, with Ninjas in Pyjamas having no real issues closing down every attempt from the KaBuM side to break their defence on de_inferno. As the map went deeper, the Swedes became more aggresive and it costed them one lost round in the end of the first half at 14-1. KaBuM clutched the second pistol round and a round after for 14-3, however that was all in which they could do against GeT_RiGhT and co as his team took the match 16-4.
In the winner's interview friberg was asked who they wanted to face in the semi finals, Fnatic or Team LDLC. He replied very straight saying that he doesn't really care who they were going to face next, because if they want to win this event they will have to beat everyone who comes down their way.
