The 2017 Spring Shuffle ahead of the Kiev Major ended on January 9.  Most of the tier one teams chose stability while many of the squads that missed either the TI6 or the Boston Major looked to secure a roster that would give them better chances at the next Major.  


Natus Vincere

For the first time since Puppey and Kuroky left the organization Na’Vi has looked outside the CIS region when adding new players to their team and rebuilt an international roster lead by the former Digital Chaos coach, Per Anders Olsson "Pajkatt" Lille.

Team Spirit

Without signing any players in the post TI6 Shuffle, Team Spirit announced back in September that the CIS organization will make a return to Dota 2 when the time feels right and the Kiev Major from April looks like the right moment.

Vici Gaming J

VG.J has decided to change it up between their own rosters as Fy reunites with Lu "Fenrir" Chao to form one of the most formidable duos in Dota history, and Freeze, who had joined Vici Gaming previously as their analyst, is set to replace Nono as the midlaner.

EHOME

EHOME completely overhauled their main roster, replacing four players. Only Zhang 'LaNm' Zhi Cheng and Ren 'eLeVeN' Yang Wei will be staying with the organization; LaNm will be taking the role of coach, while eLeVeN will be a sub for the team.

WanteD

EG’s CEO and former captain, Peter 'PPD' Dager chose an interesting mix of carry and midlane players to mark his return to the competitive scene. Three of his teammates are known for mainly playing in the mid lane but also capable of playing carry.

Team Onyx

Team Onyx was formed at the start of 2017 and features DeMoN reunited with TI4-Star Mason and former Evil Genius BuLba along with MVP Phoenix's beastly support player DuBu and the SEA prodigy youngster Abed.

MVP Phoenix

Unfortunately the 2017 Spring Shuffle marks the end of the existence for MVP Phoenix. Four of their players will be playing in different European and NA teams. However, the organization will continue to search for young talents and will try to bring more Korean players into the professional scene via MVP Aegis. At the same time, MVP signed five Kyrgyz squad NoLifer.Reborn 5 and will have them moving to South Korea to play under MVP Revolution tag.

Fnatic failed to secure a five man roster to register with for the Spring Major. On the 9th of Janury the team announced the departure of Rizky 'InYourDream'Anugrah due to a family emergency while Ng 'YamateH' Wei Poong ended his temporally stay with the team.

Cloud 9

After over a year of absence from the Dota 2 scene, Cloud 9 makes a return by signing the five ex-Imperial Danish players.

25th January

Escape Gaming dropped their entire Dota 2 squad this shuffle but three of their members will continue to play together under the 25th January team tag. syndereN’s new team marks a very unexpected player return, Kai 'H4nn1' Hanbückers deciding to play again competitively after a break of almost two years.
