ToD isn't giving up the game after American eSports organisation Gravitas Gaming discharged its entire WarCraft 3 wing-- quite the contrary. In an interview with MYM, he shared his vision of his future and of WarCraft itself. "It's not over yet guys!"
ToD might be sad about the end of his team, which he shared with friends Xyligan and Sonkie amongst others, but he says he isn't quite ready to burn his WarCraft 3 CD yet. He's in good shape, he says, and giving up right now would just be a waste. He isn't planning to head out for DotA, either: while he thinks it's a nice game, there isn't enough money in it - and ToD doesn't consider himself a team player.
As for his future prospects, he's vague. He says he 'has offers' and he wouldn't mind playing for a big team like MYM or SK, but he doesn't want to go into details right now.
MYM continued by asking him about his lack of participation in events lately. Of PGL, he states that he wasn't invited due to past misunderstandings. However, he's not sure he would've gone even if he'd been invited: neither the date nor the circumstances in the hotel and gaming area worked well for him. He wanted to spend that day with his friends in Korea.
IEM was another event he missed. ToD explains that he wasn't sure whether he wanted to pay his own way, and if it was even possible for him to go clanless. Although he'd been invited earlier, his name didn't wind up on the final list of invitees.
"Life here is great, I made many new friends, I will stay there for at least a little while longer, I would like to speak Korean fluently." ToD obviously doesn't want to leave Korea just yet. When asked, he talks about the expenses of living in Seoul vs. Beijing, noting that due to a favourable exchange rate he wound up getting a lot more money in Seoul than he'd planned for. He has a broadcast of his own in Korea that he updates almost every day, but it's live and only free if you're Korean.
Finally, he says WarCraft ain't over yet. As long as tournaments keep getting hosted, and people keep playing, there's no reason to say goodbye. "The timings and strategies are becoming more perfect than ever, the limits are being pushed as far as possible, the Warcraft scene is still a really interesting one so keep watching us!"
