World Elite defeats 4Kings in NGL top match

[s]event_332[/s]

World Elite against 4Kings - quite the treat on a Wednesday evening, no? The Korean Night Elf star SoJu played a big part in tonight's NGL-ONE match.

SoJu took down Zeus and Grubby in tonight's match.

The top teams in NGL faced off today, with 4Kings on the one side and World Elite on the other. Both teams had a 4-1 record before the clash, and the one who ended up winning would have the number one rank. These teams have only played eachother twice before, both times in the WC3L where 4Kings emerged as the victor. Would the NGL system of best of one matches be positive for World Elite, or will the Kings go away with another victory?

Managing quite well without Sky

World Elite has had a good season overall, with great results in WC3L and in the NGL-ONE. Their only loss in the league was on 20th of November in the match against fnatic - a match ending 4-3 for the European team. Though after that the Asian team won against Mousesports, much thanks to the star player Lyn who has an incredible record of 9-2 in the league. The team has not had their superstar Human player Sky in their player roster at all this season's NGL, but they seem to be capable of taking down teams without the double World Cyber Games champion.

NGL runner-ups only with one loss

4Kings are the runner-ups in the previous season as well as in WC3L. They, just as World Elite, also lost to fnatic this season in a close match ending 4-3. 4Kings were very close in losing to MeetYourMakers last round, but took home the match with a 4-3 result with Creolophus taking an impressive win against MYM's Night Elf star Moon. The loss of FoV might have crippled 4Kings a bit, losing one of the absolute best Undead players in the world, but have had a good season despite that.

FuRy versus Infi for starters

The match started off at Echo Isles, where 4Kings put up the Swedish Undead player FuRy as their first player. World Elite chose to have Infi as their first player - a smart move as Infi won, giving his team a 1-0 lead. Then a very hot Creolophus showed up, and defeated Infi at Twisted Meadows, making it deuce. Creolophus' second opponent was ReMinD, an opponent who did very well in the Asian Battle.Net Finals. However, Creolophus turned out to be the stronger player and was the one who remained standing at Turtle Rock. Creolophus' winning spree ended though when Lyn stepped up at Lost Temple.

SoJu bringing it home for WE

Lyn's performance in this NGL match turned out to be short, as the Croatian Zeus won at Turtle Rock. World Elite's last player was SoJu, and went up against Zeus on Echo Isles and won - evening out the score to 3-3. 4Kings' superstar Grubby who just recently won the World Series of Video Games was the last player for the Kings. Though World Elite and SoJu turned out to be better today, as the Korean Night Elf won against Grubby on Lost Temple.

Norway Creolophus > Korea ReMinD2-1
Norway Creolophus < Korea Lyn 2-2

This puts World Elite in tied first place with fnatic, and 4Kings on third place. Note that some teams have only played four matches.
