On the bigscreen at DreamHack Winter 2005, you could see the Czech gamer ACT-Giacomo defeat the Swedish player fnatic.SaSe with X-X, and thereby took home 6,000 SEK. A great comeback for Giacomo, who was defeated in the WB final by SaSe. SaSe will have to settle for 4,000 SEK.
The Grand Final included fnatic.SaSe (picture), the Swedish Night Elf player, nominated as the "Most Improved Player" at WC3L and a solid record at WEG3. He played through the bracket undefeated beating players like ACT-Giacomo, idle.Kiske and Anticom until he reached the Grand Final. There, his opponent in the Winner Bracket final was waiting - Giacomo.
Giacomo (picture), an Undead player from Czech Republic, having played in Clan-IT before the team crumbled. He is now back to ACT, and went to DreamHack Winter 2005 and took part in the WarCraft as the only foreigner. He had a tough way through the brackets, facing players such as idle.SjoW, idle.Tharkas and fnatic.SaSe, who pushed him down to Loser Bracket, where he faced Tharkas again, and moved up to the Grand Final.There, SaSe was in the lead 1-0, won the first game and things looked very promising for SaSe. Giacomo had to win three game in a row to win without letting Sase win any game. A tough situation for the Czech, but he pulled it off. Below are the results:
