The second playdown match stands between mTw.ATI and clan-IT. Yesterday, plan-B was defeated by verGe, and will have to play the qualifiers. Which of these teams will follow plan-B down to the qualifiers, and who will stay put in WC3L Season 9?
The originally Norwegian clan Incredible Teamaction, now with the majority of eastern Europe players, won four of the total ten playdays in WC3L Season 8, where all of them came from lower ranked teams. With FlasH (picture), Giacomo and Hum4niC, they have a very strong lineup, and many of their clanwars have ended fairly close. They have as a matter of fact only lost with 0-5 in one match, in the one against mTw.ATI, the opponents that stands on the other side today. Incredible Teamaction will have to do better than last time to keep their pride and most of all their WC3L spot.Only won two WC3L clanwars
As mentioned above, the ones standing in the blue corner is the German-based team mTW.ATI. Looking at their match list, you see they have only won two of their playday matches, the ones against Team Pentagram and Incredible Teamaction. But that does not mean they have not cashed in some points. Four of their matches ended 2-3, they were only struck with two 0-5:ers, and in their two wins they got 4 and 5 points. mTw.ATI is no doubt a strong team with a great lineup. How about the Bulgarian DIDI8 (picture), the hot 2on2 team Zerter and Zubie or the young super talent WinneR? mTw.ATI are favourites of winning this clanwar, but they cannot slack off and think clan-IT is a loser team.GosuGamers took a chat with one of mTw.ATI's core players - mTw-Zubie about the clanwar.
Your playdown opponent is clan-IT, and if you lose this match you will have to enter the qualifier instead of staying put in WC3L. How is the nervousity in the mTw camp?
- Yeah, of course we're nervous, but so are it. It's an important clanwar for both teams and the loser will be in a tough situation to get themselves back in WC3L for the next season. Hopefully we'll pull it through :)
Last time you faced clan-it you nailed then 5-0. Is that something you and the team think about for this clanwar?
- No, every clanwar is a new one. It was our day back then, we hade the flow on our side, today it could be the opposite. Just hope its our day again today :]
