Feature interview with Grubby

[s]interview[/s]

"First seed, no seed, it doesn't matter," says Grubby in an interview with KidArctica. He won BlizzCon 2005 seeded #1, and in ESWC earlier this year he won it unseeded. This feature interview brings up more information about BlizzCon 2005 according to Grubby himself.

portrait_grubbyEarlier this week, on Monday, KidArctica posted an interesting interview with the recent BlizzCon 2005 winner - Grubby (picture) of Four Kings. In it, he says that it doesn't matter which seed he gets. "somewhat referring to the fact that he was unseeded for 2005 ESWC - which he won", and the fact that he was seeded #1 for BlizzCon and won that too. His titles are getting many, and bigger and bigger. Despite that, Grubby says that he is not a title collector. "Of course I wanted to win, but I don't have a checklist," he reveals.

Grubby very satisfied with the invitational

Some tournaments can be dead beat and not work out at all. There could be administrative problems, player issues or something similar. However, it seems like BlizzCon went on without any major trouble. Grubby himself enjoyed the invitational too. "I nearly always had enough warm-up time and things like that," he says, and adds that it was cool to hang out with all the players.

Felt bad defeating FuRy

In the second round of Winner Bracket, the two Four Kings players FuRy and Grubby faced eachother, something that Grubby felt bad about. He hates to play versus his friend. "I feel bad beating him because he is such a good friend." Although Grubby knows the fact that it is inevitable that the 4K players should not face eachother. Most of all because they are all very good players and reaches far in the tournament brackets.
