VALORANT reveals Miks, the newest Controller in Season 2026 Act 2 launch

Croatian-born and music-driven, Miks brings rhythm and team synergy to every fight.

Riot Games, the developer of VALORANT, has revealed the newest agent arriving in Season 2026 Act 2: Miks, a Controller who turns sound into a battlefield weapon.

Built around rhythm, teamwork, and disruptive sonic waves, Miks adds a fresh twist to the Controller role. His toolkit blends traditional smoke utility with supportive buffs and crowd-control effects, allowing squads to push together while disrupting enemy positioning.

The agent was officially revealed during the grand finals of VALORANT Masters Santiago on 15 March. Riot also released a cinematic teaser featuring “Clarity (VALORANT x BUNT. Remix),” a new take on the classic track by Zedd remixed by DJ and producer BUNT..

Miks’ design leans heavily into music both thematically and mechanically, with his abilities built around waves of sound that influence the flow of a round. “We approached the sound design of Miks’ abilities by first creating music, then extracting the most vibey elements and building the sound effects from there,” said Kevin Meier, a game designer on VALORANT. “Music is also a big part of Miks’ backstory prior to joining VALORANT, which we’re excited for players to hear more about in the future. His background reinforces his high-energy, social personality, since music is inherently mood lifting, just like he is.”

Miks brings sonic utility to the Controller role

Miks’ abilities mix traditional Controller tools with effects that can both assist teammates and disrupt opponents. Here's an overview of the kit:

Harmonize

The ability grants a Combat Stim to both Miks and a targeted ally, refreshing with every kill. This makes coordinated pushes more rewarding, especially when teammates chain eliminations during an execute.

M-pulse

Functions as a flexible utility device. Once thrown, it emits sound waves that either concuss enemies or heal allies depending on the selected mode, giving teams an option to stabilise during fights or break defensive setups.

Waveform

Like other Controllers in VALORANT, Miks can deploy smokes through Waveform, which allows players to mark locations on the map before activating them to block vision across key lanes.

Bassquake (ultimate)

His ultimate ability, Bassquake, unleashes a powerful surge of sonic energy that travels forward, knocking enemies back while also applying Deafening and Slow effects.

Season 2026 Act 2 introduces new cosmetics and Battlepass

Miks launches on 18 March as part of Season 2026 Act 2.The new act also brings the Blackthorn Collection and an updated Battlepass featuring cosmetics such as the Soulburst Bandit, Dragon Gate Phantom, and the Flick of the Wrist Card.

With Controllers continuing to define map control and round pacing in VALORANT, Miks’ mix of buffs, smokes, and sonic disruption could give teams a new way to coordinate their pushes once the agent goes live.
