Giants secured the first seed at VCT Champions 2023 after a 3-0 at VCT LCQ EMEA grand finals.

Giants and Natus Vincere duked it out at the grand final series of VCT Last Chance Qualifiers EMEA. Both teams already secured their seats at the VCT Champions 2023 stage. The matchup only determined who will get a better seed in the biggest tournament of the year.

Giants’ victory marked a flawless run after their clean sweeps against Karmine Corp and KOI. The team proved that they are a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.

The first grand final game was on the map Bind. The two teams were at par with each other as they scored 6-6 during the first half. NAVI looked good in the second half of the game as the team scored four back-to-back round wins.

Giants did not back down as NAVI struggled to push the game to match point. The team controlled the map and forced NAVI to play on their terms. Giants successfully tied up the score to 11-11 with an economic advantage after several round wins.

NAVI tried to score for an overtime but failed. Giants sealed the first map and the momentum was pivotal to their success.

Game 2 saw Giants dictate the pace of the match. Their disciplined playstyle allowed them to secure early advantages in crucial rounds. Their two-point advantage in the first half translated to more round wins.

The match heavily favored Giants as they closed the game with a 13-7 score. The third game of the series highlighted the individual prowess of Giants. The aggressive pushes caught NAVI off guard and forced them to make difficult decisions throughout the match.

The nail-biting match showed Giants’ hunger for victory. The team denied NAVI a comeback as they stopped NAVI short of getting the double digits. During the last round, Emir "rhyme" Muminovic took out four enemies and that served as the last nail in the coffin for NAVI.

Giants ended VCT LCQ EMEA unscathed and claimed the crown.

VCT Champions 2023 will start on August 6 with 16 teams vying for the Champions title.
