A popular VALORANT data miner revealed that the possible new agent codename is “Giraffe”.
It hasn’t been long since Deadlock was released but the alleged new agent is now creating buzz within the community. Mike of ValorLeaks, a trusted data miner, posted on Twitter that an agent with the codename “Giraffe” was found in the game file.
Back in February, John Goscicki announced that there will be three new VALORANT agents coming to the game. The agents will have different roles such as Sentinel, Initiator, and Duelist. Initiator Gekko was released in March while Sentinel Deadlock was officially launched in June.
This means Riot Games has a few more months to develop and release the new duelist in the game. Mike of Valorleaks was known for teasing new valorant content such as skin line, agents, map, and many more ahead of the official launch.
He also revealed a sound file relating to Giraffe. It’s an inaudible robotic sound that's very close to KAY/O’s noises.
Fans should note that “Giraffe” is just a codename for the rumored duelist. It will take a while for the Agent’s name to be leaked. Gekko and Deadlock’s codenames are Aggrobot and Cable, respectively.
After revealing that he found a codename, he clarified that there’s a possibility that the codename is not for the new agent but rather for one of the scrapped Valorant agents.
Fans were quick to hop in the ongoing hype around the alleged agent. Although it is highly unlikely that Riot will release an agent with a different hitbox, the community poked fun at the possibility of a very tall agent. Even VCT analyst LotharHS joined in the hype train and posted a witty Tweet.
VCT Champions will start on August 6 and there’s a high chance that Riot will reveal more about the new agent during the tournament.
