LG Evil yet to lose a match in the Carbon Series

The former Hammers are on an eight-match win-streak in the league.

Two matches before the end of the Carbon Series group stage, table leaders LG Evil are yet to be toppled. The roster formerly known as Hammers got signed into the Luminosity family on March 6, midway through the tournament, and are now a lock for the playoffs after a series of fantastic performances.

LG Evil’s last victim was their own sister team, the original Luminosity roster now under the name of LG Loyal. Struggling for Carbon Series success themselves, LG Loyal’s worst nightmare was to play their fellow LG colleagues at a league score of 1-5, and a 2-3 loss to Evil on Tuesday meant that Loyal are certain to not make the playoffs.

Eight matches before group stage’s end, the top four is almost locked in and LG Evil and Renegades are likely the ones to headline the table. The middle of the rankings is still under question with Immortals and compLexity currently the #3 and #4 positions, but S is also not mathematically eliminated just yet at 5th place and 2-6 record. The horseheads have only two matches to redeem themselves, though, and one of them is against the leaders from Evil.

March 23 is scheduled as the last day of the group stage play when the final group stage standings will be defined.
