Luminosity strengthens their presence in the Overwatch community, as they sign Hammers Esports' players to their organization.
Luminosity Gaming have announced their acquisition of the Hammers Esports roster. LG has been in the Overwatch scene for a long time now, and they love it so much they are going to be supporting two rosters! That's right, this roster will be signed in addition to the current LG squad of SPREE, Mineral, EISSFIELDT, Hidan, Ube, and SuperPlouk that we know and love.
This development of yet another organization signing a second roster comes shortly after Team Singularity's announcement, and has almost been the norm in Korea for a while. In this case, LG might have found a deal too good to pass up, as Hammers has been the breakout talent of the last months. Or, LG sees the value of having two teams capable of improving each other; twice as large a player pool is also extremely valuable for when the Overwatch league does happen.
The original LG roster will now be called LG Loyal, whereas this new squad will be competing under the name LG Evil. As a reminder, these are their current lineups:

Steve Maida, CEO of Luminosity Gaming shared the following about this acquisition:
Both LG rosters will be playing in the Carbon Series later today, not against each other, so be sure to tune in starting 5:15 PM PST/8:15 PM EST/02:15 AM CET at https://www.twitch.tv/carbonentertainment to support LG.
