Reddit Overwatch’s community cups are back!

Time for the community to huddle together (or fight to the death) in /r/CompetitiveOverwatch’s upcoming community cups!

Last year the Competitive Overwatch subreddit was involved in hosting some great community cups. Appropriately with the new year, they are continuing with renewed passion. Overwatch Arena, as it’s called, is open for the European community and anyone who wishes to get some (more) competitive experience. The tournament will have two seasons, each of which will contain five weekly cups and a season finale on week six. The top eight teams every weekly cup will earn points, and the teams with the most points after the five weeks of cups will then move on to the season finals.

When: Started tonight, January 19th and continuing every Thursday after

Format: Single elimination

'Why EU only?': The organizers feel that Europe is the region most in need of this kind of regular competition. But they also say that more regions will come in the future and maybe even console events.[redquote2]

Prizes: Razer gear and cash prize

Since this is a community cup, don’t hesitate to drag your buddies along for some competitive fun. Or if you want, you can try finding teammates on the tournament's Reddit thread here. If you instead want to read up a bit more, more information including rules can be found here.
