Get yourself ready for some action! The Route 66 Overwatch Cup continues today and has plenty of interesting match-ups!
The Route 66 Overwatch Cup features 8 teams that compete against each other for a prizepool of $5,000. Some series in the Upper Bracket and in the Lower Bracket have already been played, but much more awaits you. The tournament itself consists of double-elimination, best-of-three series. The event will end on the 14th of November with a best-of-three finals.
Participating teams:
Yesterday FaZe took down Kingdom in round 1 and they 2 – 0’d RiseNation in round 2 as well. RiseNation on their turn were able to push Liquid into the lower bracket, where Kingdom knocked them out of the tournament.
Today the action in the upper bracket will continue at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/20:00 CET over at the BeyondTheSummit Channel, with Cloud9 taking on SelflessGG. After we’ve been witness of that series, it’s time for Immortals to beat Tempo Storm. The winners of both series will battle it out in round 2 and the losers will have to fight to remain in the tournament in the lower bracket.
Tomorrow the final series in the upper bracket will be played as well as all the games in the lower bracket.
