Huge patch hits PTR, includes Sombra, the Arcade and a Pharah buff

Here's Sombra. PTR has updated with some massive changes including a new mode, map and hero.

There is a massive update for PTR out now. This update brings with it some massive changes that were introduced at Blizzcon including Sombra, Arcade mode and a new map (for Arcade). Naturally Blizzard didn’t stop there and are fixing several bugs on top of everything else being tested in the PTR. Blizzard has been testing out a lot of things in the PTR but we will look only at the changes that come from todays update.

Most excitingly is Sombra. She’s here. This patch brings the offensive hacking hero to the battlefield for testing and balancing; be sure to give her a try and see if you if you can become one of the best with her. We at GosuGamers are excited about how she is going to disrupt the current pro meta. For an in depth look at Sombra head here and for a hands on description you can go here.

Sombra isn’t the only massive change. Blizzard has given Overwatch a whole new mode, Arcade Mode. This mode takes the Brawl mode and gives it a new home while adding several new wings to the house, wings such as 1v1 and 3v3. For a harder look at Arcade mode you can read our article about it here.

Most exciting for the Arcade is the new map that you will get to play on. Ecopoint: Antarctica is Mei’s home base which is now playable on the PTR. You can look for us to update this article with a link to our in depth look at Ecopoint.

Only one hero balance change came with this patch: Pharah's hover jets are getting a 35% increase to her lift which is huge. It has nearly doubled their old boost and will make her feel much better when flying about, as well as less dependent upon her Jump ability.
