In a relatively sudden turn of events, André “iddqd” Dahlström has announced he will be stepping down from the starting position
Fnatic recently announced DPS player, iddqd, will no longer be taking an active role in the Overwatch team. This news comes as a surprise for many, especially considering the level of performance Fnatic has achieved in the past few months. Andre will still be representing the organization at the Overwatch World Cup at BlizzCon.
The esport organization cited,
Fnatic is currently ranked fifth in the world and second in North America. They recently placed joint-third at both the Overwatch Open in Atlanta and the Atlantic Showdown at gamescom. This sudden change in roster also comes at the heels of Fnatic's qualification for Dreamhack Winter.
In the meantime, Fnatic has announced open tryouts for the vacant DPS role. More information can be found in the announcement here.
