Just yesterday we announced Overkill, the Overwatch tournament where we will crown the king of the Beta and today we are already kicking off with the first matches. To further your viewing experience we've created a viewing guide for the night.
The tournament starts with the European Division and four thrilling matches packed into an evening filled to the brim with competitive Overwatch action! Leading you through the night will be our caster extraordinaire ZP.
The first match kicks off at 18 CEST and will feature REUNITED.gg and IMPULSE 11. While IMPULSE 11 will want to avenge their loss to REUNITED.gg in the ONOG Invitational, REUNITED.gg will be trying to get back on an upward trajectory after losing two finals in a row.

Prediction: ”This game is very hard to judge. Impulse 11 improved massively while on the other hand REUNITED.gg just lost two finals in which they were favourites. I think this match comes fully down to how well TwoEasy can perform, as he has been hit and miss lately. If he is on his a-game REUNITED.gg should be taking this match, especially because they possess a bigger hero- and mappool. However, if TwoEasy’s slump continues Impulse 11 might be able to pull off an upset.?”
The second match will be between IDDQD and Creation Esports. While Creation Esports will be eager to show that yesterdays win in the Overwatch Arena wasn’t just a fluke, IDDQD wants to get back to their winning ways after a disappointing ONOG Invitational. In a surprise twist, TviQ, who left the teams just days prior, will be standing in for IDDQD.

Prediction: ”Another hard match to jugde. On the back off yesterdays performance of Creation Esports I’m inclined to say they are able to win this game. The addition of numlocked and KnOxXx clearly improved the team. That being said, IDDQD has the services of TviQ in this tournament, which could help them regain their old form. Taimou is not much of a downgrade to Mendokusaii and the team already showcased that with these six they can be successful. Rumor is that IDDQD hasn’t practised a lot in the past two weeks though, so I would still go with Creation Esports on this one.?”
The third match might be the highlight of the night. IDDQD meets their rival REUNITED.gg. Both teams have a rough couple of days behind them. It will be interesting to see which team can regain their confidence the fastest and take home the spoils of the victor: 3 points.

Prediction: ”This match is probably the highlight of the night. Two of Overwatch’s biggest rivals meet each other at a time where not much has been going right for either team. A week ago before the whole roster shuffles I would have even given REUNITED.gg the edge. But after the events of the past days, I’d imagine this match to be extremely close. The match will probably be decided on the map vetoes. If IDDQD can avoid King of The Hill and deathmatch heavy maps to play towards INTERNETHULK’s strenghts they should be able to take this match home.?”
Closing the night will be Creation Esports in their match against IMPULSE 11. This will just be their second encounter. In the first and only meeting between the two, IMPULSE 11 took a close 2-1 victory. However, Creation Esports has changed their lineup since.

Prediction: ”For the last match I do believe we will see a clear victory for Creation Esports. They possess the better individual players and are possibly the scariest team when it comes to the teamplay aspect. As good as Impulse 11 has done so far, I don’t see them winning this one, unless iddqd can bring his absolute a-game. Creation Esports would be smart however to avoid King of the Hill maps, as I do believe Impulse 11 to be the stronger team in this particular game mode.?”
