The interest in our open Overwatch events has led us to open our doors to even more competitive enthusiasts.
When we started the Overwatch Weeklies initiative, we had no idea what amount of excitement it could generate. With the scene being small still, we expected a minor to moderate turn-up from the handful of teams out there.
What happened pleasantly surprised us, to say the least. The 16 slots for the European tournament filled up quickly and there were even more teams wanting to play. The same scenario is repeating this week as well, and with more than a day left till tournament’s start, we have 18 teams registered for Overwatch Weekly EU #2.
As a result, we’ve decided to up the maximum slots for that particular tournament to 32. Make sure to reserve your spot now, as not only do we expect them to fill up once again, but that’s also one of the last chances to play in an Overwatch tournament this year.
We’re also keeping an eye on the registrations for Overwatch Weekly NA #2, and we’ll be ready to increase the maximum slots there, too, if need be.
