When it comes to class based shooters, it is hard to deny that Team Fortress 2 is the king of the hill. With no other strong competitors, TF2, a game which has been around since 2007, still enjoys immense popularity. Blizzard looks to challenge Valve's hold on competitive shooters with the release of Overwatch.
Granted, these are early impressions, but as a player with competitive experience, and lord knows how many hours inside the game, STAR_'s opinion cannot be easily discounted.
The Overwatch playerbase will likely be comprised of a great deal of Team Fortress 2 players. With Overwatch's release looming, and TF2's competitive matchmaking also on the horizon, the future looks bright for fans of class based shooters.
