Columbina joins the fray. Here’s how to build her!
Columbina finally joins Genshin Impact’s playable roster as a dedicated support and sub-DPS unit who will bring your party’s Lunar Reaction damage to the next level.
Due to her kit being deeply intertwined with the Lunar Wheel element of Nod-Krai, Columbiona may limit the versatility of your team compositions. However, that is not a deterrent to how amazing of a unit she can be when built right. Here’s what you need to do to make Columbina shine:
Support-focused Columbina
Columbina mainly enables Lunar Reaction universally–meaning that she can allow non Nod-Krai characters to commit Lunar-Reaction based damage even outside the confines of the region or Lunar Wheel, providing that the characters are within the Lunar Domain she conjures through her burst.
Although she's able to do this for non Nod-Krai parties, it is still imperative to place her in a team of Nod-Krai characters to make full use of the Moonsign passives, allowing even more damage to be procured.
Nevertheless, any Lunar Reaction triggered will also receive a base DMG increase dependent on Columbina's max HP, making her a very straightforward unit to build.

The shield strength is unnecessary for Columbina, but the other effects of Tenacity of the Milelith works pretty well for her as a support unit.

Sub-DPS Columbina
As a sub-DPS, Columbina is capable of dealing powerful Hydro DMG that scales with her max HP. Her skill allows her to summon an off-field Gravity Ripple that deals AoE Hydro DMG, which stacks alongside whichever reaction it triggers with the other elements you're adding to the equation. Additionally, her burst also deals AoE Hydro DMG.

Since Columbina's kit conditions her to work best with Moonsign characters, it's best for her to be teamed up with units from Nod-Krai, or at least have a team that can trigger the Moonsign passives. Here are some team compositions you can try out!
Free-to-play
Columbina isn't exactly F2P-friendly, as there are not enough 4-star characters from Nod-Krai who can fill in the roles needed for her to shine. Be that as it may, Travellers may need to settle on losing out on a fully-triggered Moonsign passive, but that doesn't mean Columbina's kit won't work in the battlefield anyway.

In this team composition, Columbina will act as the main driver for the Lunar-Bloom reaction, by consistently applying Hydro to enemies affected by Kuki Shinobu and Collei's off-field Elemental DMG dealers. Aino will act as a secondary Hydro support with her own off-field construct, as well as provide an increase to Columbina's max HP with Hydro resonance. Much of the bulk of the damage will come from the Lunar-Bloom reaction.
Aino can also be replaced with Xingqui.

In this team composition, Columbina will be the Hydro applicator and support unit to Ororon and Fischl, who both have pretty consistent Electro application. Aino will have the same role as with the Lunar-bloom team, but she can also be replaced with an Anemo character like Sucrose, who can provide Elemental Mastery increases, Swirl elements, and can briefly crowd control enemies with her skill.
Premium
As established before, Columbina shines best in teams where you've spent your Primogems, as much of her synergy comes with the various 5-star characters exclusive to Nod-Krai, as well as premiere 5-star characters who do well with the elemental reactions she is buffing.
Sure, it might hurt the Primogem reserves, but isn't it worth it when you see big damage numbers on your screen?

General verdict
Although it's recommended to keep Columbina in a team that can utilise Lunar reactions, her abilities as an overall Hydro sub-DPS/support is nothing to scoff at either.
Sure, it may mean some damage loss, but that really doesn't matter if you're enjoying the game. As such, regular team compositions that utilise Hydro as a main component to elemental DMG will enjoy having Columbina along, specifically for Vaporise teams where Arlecchino and Durin are also involved.
