Rapture Gaming Network has announced the RGN League 2013/2014 season with 19,000 SGD in cash prizes up for grabs. The regular season of the tournament will be played throughout 2013 while the playoffs begin at early 2014.
With a great reputation of hosting massive offline tournaments in South East Asia, Rapture Gaming will be launching the RGN League featuring 19,000 SGD in cash prizes for their elite league in the 2013/2014 season.
The format of the tournament is a ten teams round robin which will have 20 regular playweeks consisting of 18 regular playweeks and 2 playoffs playweeks. Participating teams will play one another twice per season.
Each playweeks will only be played on the weekends starting at 14:00 CEST on Saturday.

All the games in the regular season will be played in a best-of-one format and the top six teams will be advancing into the playoffs. The first and second placers will be seeded directly into the semi-finals while the third to sixth placers will have to start in the quarter-finals.
Much like StarLadder's Star Series, the bottom two teams of the round robin season will be relegated to make place for two teams from their open tournament. Rapture will be announcing the first ten invited teams of the 2014/2015 season in the upcoming days.
A smaller prize pool is also allocated to the open division in which upcoming teams can compete against the best in Asia for a spot in the next season of the RGN League. Teams in the open league will be accummulating points over four seasons throughout the year.
All the games of the RGN League will be casted by RGN casters of assorted languages. More details of the tournament will be released shortly.
