Ever since they ended WE's half a year long winning streak during LPL Week 3, iG has been leading the rankings till today.
While we saw some unorthodox picks like support Syndra in the last days of march, this week World Elite played a solid and proven style. Relying on bot lane duos like Elise/Varus and Elise/Ezreal and favoring a great variety on champions on the positions, WE went on a three-game win streak in week four, scoreboarding a 10-1 score overall.
Same cannot be said for iG, however. After heavily favoring Taric jungle in week one and Quinn mid in week two, the team under Pdd's captainship decided to continue on with champions and roles that are not seen outside Asia too too often. Playing Pantheon top, Annie mid and Elise and Zed in the jungle brought iG success on Friday and Saturday but, ironically, the second they switched to a more orthodox composition things fell apart. On Sunday, Invictus suffered a heavy loss against the 5th in the rankings Royal Club and dropped to second place behind World Elite.
The two powerhouses are scheduled to meet each other next week on April 12th in a revenge match from week three.
