LGD.cn is back on track

LGD.cn won 2-1 over For.Love and they are back on track after losing against LGD.int yesterday. There is now a three-way-tie with For.Love, LGD.cn and LGD.int, with the latter still having a match to go.

Game 1:

For.Love began shaky as their Anti-Mage was not farming as efficiently as the opposing Void. In addition, bad teamfights from For.Love in which they completely overestimated themselves gave away kills to the Voids as well. As soon as the Anti-Mage got his Batttlefury though, he started catching up with farm and split pushed, while his team had troubles keeping up with the teamfight combination of Reverse Polarity, Chronosphere and Rubick and Leshrac. Focusing on these teamfights though, LGD lost their top racks to Anti-Mage, without securing themselves any buildings.

A crucial teamfight at the bottom rune, where Void was not there for a Double Reverse Polarity, won For.Love the teamfight. Not only did the creeps push in during the fight, but LGD failed to kill AM with 2 RPs and a Chronosphere, thus losing their throne to him.

Game 2:

LGD had the advantage early on, winning all lanes and banking a lot of farm on Sylar's AM. FL's Sven barely got farm and Storm Spirit got denied a lot of xp by LGD's Enigma, who was solo mid. It was Batrider who farmed sufficiently in the jungle to drag his team back into the game, but he couldn't compete with the Reverse Polarity or Black Hole. On top of that, Lion kept disabling Storm Spirit, keeping him from being as efficient as he wanted to be.

Sylar snowballed easily and eventually FL could not contest anymore, losing game 2.

Game 3:

For.Love drafted a very risky line-up, considering they gave away Batrider and Luna. However, Batrider gained too much on his hardline, even scoring first blood against Shadow Demon. The Radiant supports in Leshrac and Sven set up important kills on Brewmaster. For.Love had troubles getting into the game, scoring only 5 kills in totals. They couldn't stop Sylar farming and had troubles dealing damage, seeing as Lone Druid was the only one farming on par with LGD. LGD was able to pick off Dire heroes one by one without troubles, winning more and more map control and taking this game with ease.

Final thoughts:

For.Love was on the backfoot in all three games. During game 1 it was a farmed Anti-Mage that turned the tides, but in the following games they failed to make space for any hero, thus losing both games. They kept getting caught off out of position or one by one, being unable to fight in proper teamfights. On top of that, if they were on the verge of winning a teamfight, they overextended their welcome and dove too far and got too greedy, giving away too many kills in return. With LGD.int, another strong opponent is waiting for them, that is unlikely to give them any space.

LGD.cn seemed strong in all 3 games. The first one was their weakest, seeing as they didn't apply pressure to all For.Love heroes and seemed content with ganking and killing the 4 FL heroes. They made sure to not repeat that mistake by taking early control of all three lanes and gaining more and more map advantage, leaving little to no space for FL to farm. On top of that, their draft seemed to be way better than FL's. They were always keen on getting crucial disablers and supports, being able to counter the ganking potential in game 2 (Storm Spirit, Batrider and Bounty Hunter) and having constant lockdown in general.
