A delayed third Dota 2 group of DreamHack winter just found its conclusion, delivering what can be called a slight upset. After having qualified online, WhA beat the invited Mousesports and will move on to the quarter finals in their place.
The game that would change the expected outcome of the group was played right in the first round. While Empire took out BYOC-qualified SnC fairly quickly, Mouz versus WhA started with a 10-minute delay and evolved to one of the longest-lasting encounters of this event so far. A maxed-out Faceless Void as well as excellent Windrunner and Batrider performances let the game end in WhA's favour, over the enourmous cleave-power churned out by a not lesser farmed Sven and Magnataur on Refresher Orb.
Empire, who were expected to struggle a bit more, due to the sudden no-show of Blowyourbrain, did not have a hard time in any match so far and will therefore advance to the playoffs convincingly.
Group D is expected to start shortly with the quarter finals following up right afterwards.
