Reverse captains mode tournament 'atoD' about to kick off

A rare jewel among Dota 2 tournaments is returning next week. 'atoD' will feature eight teams from Europe and America and - as the name suggests - will have Reverse Captains Mode as its foundation.

This means that teams, at the start of the game, don't draft their own, but the opponent's lineup instead. Whoever does a better in job in ruining team composition, or manages to create worse lanes for the others has an advantage. The following teams agreed to compete in this peculiar showdown:

atoD was made possible by joinDOTA contributor Peter 'HamSandwich' Congdon, who also added $400 to its prize fund. This initial fund will increase further, based on how many client tickets are being purchesed.

10% of the total prize pool will go to the team that wins a fan-favourite poll hosted on joinDOTA.com, the official coverage partner of the event. In addition to the English stream by Toby 'TobiWan' Dawson, Vitalii 'V1lat' Volochai will host a Russian steam which can be found here.

In order to introduce you to the event and get you in the mood for some unconventional, yet not lesser competitive Dota 2, we conducted interviews with players of four participating teams.
