The grand final was supposed to be a best-of-five but both teams agreed on shortening it to a best-of-three, as Empire did not have enough time.
This is probably why the Russians decided to end things quickly, as they took out Natus Vincere very convincingly. The Ukrainians had to play with two stand-ins, DK.Phobos and Admiration replacing Xboct and ARS-ART, and seemed to have ping issues. Nevertheless, Empire showed perfect execution and showed no mercy, ending the first game within 27 minutes and forcing a 15-minutes-"GG" in the second.
Empire takes home 1,000€ for their efforts and impresses once again.
