Na'Vi wins 3rd StarLadder LAN

The grand final of the 3rd StarSeries StarLadder LAN Finals showcased the strength of the CIS teams.

With great anticipation, as well as slight delay, the finals definitely lived up to the hype. Both Empire and Na'Vi proved once again that they deserved to make it this far.

Recap:

Game 1 started out pretty good for Na'Vi. They got an early first blood in a 5v5 encounter on the botlane. However, the Ukrainians could not build up on that advantage and gave away too many kills towards the Empire trilane. On top of that, Funn1k's Batrider worked out perfectly in disturbing Na'Vis teamfight coordination and position play. Even a Disruptor counter-pick couldn't stop him. It turned into a very action-packed game, teamfights going back and forth. Mistakes on both sides kept the game going, but Empire came on top with a top notch performance by Funn1k, securing his team the much needed first win, tieing with Na'Vi.

In the second game, both teams were cautious to avoid unneccessary mistakes, giving the game a very tense atmosphere. Na'Vi picked up the Batrider this time, giving away Templar Assassin, Undying and Clinkz. In return, Puppey drafted Earthshaker and KotL. The Ukrainians got an early advantage once again, as their trilane worked out better than Empire's and Dendi's Batrider solo killed Scandal's TA. Empire relied on their farmed Clinkz to pull them back into the game and he did. Even though Na'Vi bought early Ghost Scepters, Funn1k's Clinkz won a few teamfights. His team however could not keep up with Na'Vi's farm and lost a what looked to be perfectly initiated teamfight, leading to the Russian's loss.

Empire had to try something and they definitely did by picking up a Doom Bringer, a hero they seem to be comfortable with. Na'Vi answered with a Pudge and showcased their classic aggressive play. Na'Vi took the game bit by bit and in the end it was too much for the Russians to handle, admitting defeat after 31 minutes.

Na'Vi strikes once again, securing their 3rd consecutive StarLadder win, asserting their dominance in the European scene.
