G-1 League allows Twitch streaming

The G-1 League matches will be streamed on Twitch from the main round on. FY live did not turn out to be working well enough for non-Chinese audience.

Good news for all fans of the English broadcasting of the upcoming fourth season von G-1 League: The broadcasting will be changed from the Chinese peer-to-peer streaming platform FY live, accessible on fengyunzhibo.com, to the established platform Twitch.

During the qualifier matches this week, the English-streaming casters LD and GoDZ were testing the platform FY live. They promoted the tests in order to reach a critical mass of viewers which is desperately needed for P2P streaming. Whether it was the lacking mass of users on their stream during the test or a general unsuitability for worldwide broadcasting, the stream remained black for many international users and a many times.

By allowing the English-streaming casters to use Twitch instead of FY live, G-1 League goes the safe way. They know now that the amount of users experiencing problems outside of China will be most likely lower than in case of making fengyunzhibo.com the streaming platform.
