After two grand final Bo3 series, Ilyes "Stephano" Satouri becomes the WCS champion of the Old Continent, adding another $24,000 to his bank account. Second came Vortix who despite having an outstanding weekend could not find it in himself to defeat the French superstar.

The previous encounter between the two had ended with a decisive victory for the Frenchman in the form of a quick 2-0 in the winners bracket final that prompted a "I've already won this tournament" from Stephano.

What was the revenge between the two zergs started with Vortix coming back from a 0-1 to push the grand final into a second Bo3 series, delivering Stephano's first loss in his entire WCS run. Yet, the quote from a few lines above held true after all and Stephano did not falter in the next two games and pinned the $24,000 winner's check as well as the title of continental champion of Europe.

Seven Europeans including Stephano made it to Global Finals after those two days of competition and the WCS Asia continental finals in October will finalize the line-up.
