Just 15 PCs 30 minutes away for training

Valve has limited the options for training during the rest days Wednesday and Thursdays for teams. As the Valve offices are closed for training, a cyber café in Lynnwood is the only named option for the teams.

Stepping up from the preliminary performance and getting ready for playoffs has become and issue in Seattle: As Valve has written on the daily information sheets: "The closest cyber café available for players to practice is GameClucks Gaming Zone". Closest, in this case, means 20 miles or 30 minutes away from the hotel or the Benaroya hall. The Valve offices, where the teams have been training and playing for the preliminaries, are no longer available for playing.

The image shows a Google routing plan from the hotel in Bellevue (A) to the cyber café in Lynnwood (B) to the Benaroya Hall in Seattle (C). The distance is 20 miles each.

15 PCs, 20 miles and 30 minutes away, for $75 per team

The GameClucks Gaming Zone is located in Lynnwood, to the north of Seattle and Bellevue. However, even if the teams would like to use that facility for preparation of the playoffs, they might conflict each other. "Only 15 machines are loaded with Dota 2, so it can only accomodate 3 teams at one time", the letter further describes the cyber café. Furthermore, the use of this facility would be $75 per team.

According to CLG players on Wednesday night, Na'Vi and Zenith were using this option on the first of the two rest days. Resting or training, it's up to the players on the last day before the main event of The International, but training is not going to be an easy task for the teams.
