His ability to grab major sponsors has scored the Dutchman another deal. The mobile phone branch of the electronics gargantuan works with Grubby in 2012.
While he dominated the WarCraft 3 scene for the better part of its existence in the ranks of teams such 4Kings, MYM and EG, Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen now pursues a purely direct sponsorship based path in StarCraft 2, trying to create his own brand. After he had lost SteelSeries as his main sponsor earlier this year due to underwhelming tournament results, he had to rely on his earnings from his Twitch.tv partnership deal until he managed to sign the deal with the Swedish subsidiary of the Japanese electronics manufacturer.
He posted the following on his Facebook page:
